About Me

I am humbly asking for your support in this journey. Please, take the time to get to know me and let me earn your vote for Justice of the Peace Precinct 1 Place 2.

I have been a Texas Peace Officer for over 20 years and hold the title of Master Peace Officer. I have been working as a Civil Deputy for a local agency, for the later part of my law enforcement career.  I take pride in attention to every detail. My approach to serving our community is rooted in quality and integrity, ensuring that everything I do reflects my commitment to excellence.

I was born to Shirley and W.B. Winstead. My father was a civil engineer and was integral part of building what was once known as Phillips 66 Refinery in Sweeny. My mother was a stay-at-home mom, raising six children. I was the last of the six and I was raised in West Columbia.

I have spent most of my 47 years of life in Brazoria County with the last 20 plus years living in Precinct One. I raised my children here. My husband and I have built our forever home here. We raise chickens and goats and have a small piece of land that we cherish. We work hard for what we have, and I will continue to work hard for the citizens of Brazoria County.

One of the words often used to describe me is "real". I am a down to earth Brazoria County resident that will always strive every day to be a better person than I was the day before. I have a proven record of commitment to justice, fairness, efficiency, and leadership. I have extensive experience in law enforcement, civil process, and project management.
